We recently received word of a new furniture design company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Launched last year, Flitch Furniture—which, according to its website, is named after “the cut of lumber straight from the tree”—makes just a few pieces: a cute stool; a clever modular storage piece that can be configured as a media console, storage bench, or dresser; and these chic plant stands that are so affordable, you may want to buy the entire set.
Have a look.

Above: The Plant Stands come in three sizes. The 5.5-inch-tall stand fits a 10-inch pot; the 14-inch-tall stand fits an 8-inch pot; and the 22.5-inch-tall stand fits a 6-inch pot. Prices start at $29; a set of all three is just $82.

Above: The stands are flat-packed and are composed of just two slide-to-fit pieces; no tools required! They’re made of FSC-certified plywood laid-up with a soy-based, formaldehyde-free adhesive and maple veneer.

Above: The company’s multi-purpose Stools, which come in these three colors, would also make great plant stands; from $122.
