From Austrian designer Matthias Kaiser come ceramic planters with a Japanese flavor.

After studying design and applied arts in Vienna, Kaiser  “completed apprenticeships with master potters in Japan,” notes The Garden Edit, where his stoneware planters are on offer (and currently on sale). We’d like to own them all:

A stoneware Platinum Hourglass Planter measures 12.5 centimeters high (about 5 inches) and is on sale for £275 (marked down from £350).

Using “unrefined materials for his ceramics, Kaiser often exposes the process of making to give pieces a raw quality,” notes The Garden Edit.

A Gold Faceted Planter commissioned for The Garden Edit as part of the 2016 London Design Festival is 10 centimeters high (about 4 inches); £225, marked down from £300.
