Everywhere we look, something new is in bloom. Even in Manhattan, the rooftops of low-rise buildings suddenly appear more green than grayish, and little white flowers are creeping up shyly through sidewalk cracks.

Flower Playlist
- "Must Have Been The Roses" by the Grateful Dead because we'd like to put ribbons in our hair and lie down in the roses, too.
-
"You Don’t Bring Me Flowers" by Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand because we’re suckers for an old-fashioned duet.
-
"Coming Up Roses" by Elliot Smith because roses deserve more than just one mention.
-
"Lilac Breeze" by Eels because it makes us feel like total rock stars.
-
"Blue Orchid" by the White Stripes because it's our go-to pump-up song when we have lots of pruning to do (seriously).
-
"Daffodil Lament" by The Cranberries because it's deceptively complex, like the shape of its namesake flower.
-
"Sunflower" by Lenny Kravitz (featuring Drake) because Lenny never gets old.
-
"Pictures of Lily" by The Who because its lyrics remind us that life is wonderful.
-
"Build Me Up Buttercup" by The Foundations because who are we to resist a catchy classic?
- "Hyacinth House" by The Doors because we like to imagine we're living in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with walls made of these fluffy and fragrant flowers.

Our favorite headphones to use in the garden are the Tour Model Of Beats By Dr. Dre Earbuds because they're comfortable, they don't fall out easily, and they deliver surprisingly large sound; they're $129.95 from the Beats By Dre.
